The CFE training course “2D/3D digital survey methods and strategies applied to heritage objects, monuments and sites” returns in 2025

The Models and Simulations for Architecture and Heritage laboratory is offering two new sessions in 2025 of the CFE (CNRS Formation Entreprises) training course entitled “2D/3D digital survey methods and strategies applied to heritage objects, monuments and sites”.

The proposed sessions are as follows:

  • Spring session: March 31 to April 4, 2025
  • Fall session: October 6 to 10, 2025

This one-week course will take place at the laboratory, on the CNRS Joseph Aiguier campus in Marseille.

It is aimed at archaeologists, heritage architects, restorers, curators, designers, scientific mediators and project managers specializing in 3D.

The objectives of this course are to :

  • Build a 2D/3D digitization strategy adapted to the objectives and constraints of a project or study on a heritage object
  • Master the lifecycle of digital content in a context of conservation, documentation and enhancement.
  • Combine theoretical and practical knowledge for the 2D/3D survey of heritage objects at different scales
  • Determine, optimize or evaluate an operating chain from capture to permanent archiving
  • Situate your practices in relation to societal issues such as open sciences (traceability, reproducibility, interoperability) and digital sobriety.
