Participation in the CIPA 2025 international conference

The 30th edition of the CIPA International Symposium will take place from 25 to 29 August 2025 in Seoul, South Korea.

CIPA is one of the oldest International Scientific Committees of ICOMOS (International Council of Monuments and Sites), jointly founded in 1968 with ISPRS (International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) to facilitate the transfer of technology from the measurements sciences into the heritage documentation and recording disciplines.

This edition will focus on the theme of digital documentation : “Heritage Conservation from Bits, From Digital Documentation to Data-driven Heritage Conservation”.

Pierre Arese will give a presentation on Wednesday, 27 August on the feedback gathered in the frame of the ERC n-Dame_Heritage project: “Establishing a Dialogue Between Textual Sources and 3D-Spatialised Annotations: A First Experiment Within Notre-Dame’s Scientific Data Corpus” (Pierre Arese, Roxane Roussel, Livio de Luca).

On the same day, Serena Buglisi, a visiting doctoral student at the MAP laboratory, supervised at the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria, will also present her work: “Spatio-Temporal Data Integration for Knowledge-Driven Analysis of Historic Built Heritage Conservation State” (Serena Buglisi, Livio De Luca, Massimo Lauria, Angela Quattrocchi).
