Participation in the Digital Heritage 2025 international conference

The 4th edition of the Digital Heritage (DH) World Congress & Expo will take place from September 8-13, 2025, in Siena, Italy.

This international congress focuses on digital technologies applied to the documentation, conservation, and sharing of heritage—both tangible and intangible.

Members of the MAP laboratory will be involved in this congress at several levels.

Livio de Luca, research director, is a member of the Scientific Chairs committee.

Two researchers from the laboratory are experts in the following thematic tracks:

  • Thematic Track 1 (T1): Documentation, Preservation, Monitoring, and Restoration
    chaired by Stefano Campana (University of Siena), Violette Abergel (MAP CNRS), Costanza Miliani (CNR ISPC)
  • Thematic Track 3 (T3): Infrastructures, Dataspace and International Projects
    chaired by Dimitri Kotzinos (ECHOES – Cergy Paris University), Anaïs Guillem (ERIHS – MAP CNRS), Bruno Fanini (H2IOSC – CNR ISPC)

The presentations will take place:

Tuesday, September 9

11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. (plenary session)
Livio de Luca will give a keynote presentation entitled “Building Cathedrals of digital data & multidisciplinary knowledge for heritage science.”

4:30–6:30 p.m. (room 4)
Roxane Roussel will present the work carried out with Livio de Luca in a presentation entitled “A cathedral of spatialized annotations portraying the multidisciplinary study of Notre Dame de Paris,” which is part of the session “Predictive analysis, AI, simulation, and novel computational methods” (T1 – S5).

Wednesday, September 10

4:30–6:30 p.m. (room 1)
Violette Abergel will be the chair of the session “From 3D Models to Digital Platforms and Digital Twins” (T1 – S4).

Friday, September 12

9:00–11:00 a.m. (room 1)
Anthony Pamart will present his research in a presentation entitled “Spatialization, fusion and enrichment of Multimodal Imaging for Interdisciplinary Digital Heritage Studies” as part of the session “Digital Technologies for CHANGES” (T12 – S3).
