Presentation on “New approaches and challenges of multimodal imaging for heritage sciences” on October 17 at CICRP

Anthony Pamart, research engineer and Deputy Unit Director (DUa) of the UPR MAP will give a presentation on “New approaches and challenges of multimodal imaging for heritage sciences” on October 17, 2024 at 1:30 pm at the CICRP (Centre Interdisciplinaire de Conservation et de Restauration du Patrimoine).

Abstract :

Digital tools and technologies play a key role in the study of heritage objects at the heart of interdisciplinary issues. The imaging techniques used by heritage scientists open up a wide range of investigative prospects for improving shared knowledge of a now-digitized object of study. The development of this digital know-how comes up against the challenge of multimodality, emerging from the growing need to bring together a variety of digital resources. The avenues presented explore different strategies for capitalizing on the richness and diversity of multimodal approaches (involving a multiplicity of sensors, scales of observation, spectral or temporal layers). Anthony Pamart’s dissertation research has highlighted possible synergies aimed at enriching digital practices and our knowledge of heritage objects.

This edition of “Parlons-en” will take place in person only, with registration required, at the CICRP, 21 rue Guibal, Marseille.
