Social Sciences & Humanities Open Cloud

An ambitious number of 47 organisations with experience and expertise in the field of humanities and social science infrastructures have come together from across Europe to collaborate on the SSHOC project, the Social Science and Humanities Open Science Cloud, coordinated by CESSDA, the Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives. The project aims to make the transition from the current landscape of disciplinary silos and separate electronic infrastructures to a fully-fledged cloud infrastructure where data obeys the 4 FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable), tools and training are easily accessible, making a significant contribution to realising the ambition of the European Cloud initiative – and supporting the implementation of a European Open Science Cloud.
